Hi , just joined the site as a member and thought id say hello. By the nick i suppose you can tell im from Liverpool , moved up to Middlesbrough with the wife around 97 and been here since. I started the hobby flying 6 channel helis around 5-6 years ago and through forums i ended up doing some work building and repairing electric helis from the walkera#4 to the trex 600 and pretty much everything inbetween , became a little bored of the helis and having never flew a plane before decided to try and liked it. At the minute i prefer EDF jets but have a trusty old pusher Stryker and a Fox glider that help keep me sane compared to the screaming speed of the edf's.

Now then Scouser! (we've met before on the Heliguy forum) I'm still into my helis-which I fly outdoors at Kirky. I'm also heavily into fixed wing these days & have a couple of nice models that I'll be maidening soon. Being one of those rare beasts these days (working) I usually only fly on a Thursday or a Sunday, so may bump into you soon down at the site. I also fly helis indoors (part of the year) at our other club at Boulby potash mine, maybe you should ask Paul Luka, Justin or myself about visiting one evening. Redcar club is very laid back as long as good sense prevails (anal types & a$$holes are encouraged to fly elsewhere ) Theres a good mix down here, from beginners to world champions. Gliders, planes & helis all fly together with barely a bad word spoken (though we do take the pi$$ a lot!) See you soon!

Elloo ,, yeah lol i removed myself from that forum , a case of too many indians and not enough chiefs , we had no support from above and the rules changed everytime you logged on lol not a good time towards the end , anyway onto happier times
I will definately have to pop down sometime , far too much free time on my hands now im afraid but such is the current economic climate , maybe i can paint the grass or cut it with nail clippers to pass the time lol.
I too have crossed over a little , out of my collection of 17 i have 2 helis left and they are safely locked away in their cases under the bed were they will stay till the bug bites me again lol . In the plane section of the showroom ( anywhere the wife wont moan ) ive got a stryker, fox 2m glider , 50mm t-45 edf , rclander f-16 , concept-x and a nice shiney new foam kit on the way of a mig-29 from a new company just starting up in Romania , should be fun lol , scracth built a few combat wings , f-18 and a Grippen , foam has really took my attention maybe a little too much .
Hopefully see you at Kirkleatham some time soon.

At the moment I'm down to two helis, a 450 V2 & 500ESP (both Align) I've got a MPX parkflyer, E-flite Pogo & Kyosho Sukhoi (both of which need a maiden) I've got to get myself a couple of new gliders sorted. I have a 'Bird' 60" carbon slope soarer that just neeeds fitting out & I'm looking also for a flat field powered glider for the summer thermals we (rarely) enjoy at Redcar. Thats me really thinning out the number of models I used to fly-but it just got a bit silly trying to cram 5 or 6 planes & a couple of helis into the car for a dayout at Kirky. If your not sure who your looking for look for a fat bald bloke flying like an id-jutPS there is a vid of me after 'losing' my Mustang after having problems with 2.4 equippment (& see why it crashed)

Hi I'm Mike and I live in Ripon but have the good fortune to be receiving help from Paul and Keith who are helping me with my Tri copter"s" , I came up a while ago and was made very welcome , I am a member of Thirsk model club and we welcome visitors from other clubs when down here . I hope to get up this summer to visit hopefully when the new "T"copter is working. I also fly a 72"Storch and an Extra 260 on electric plus a few Gassers.
Look forward to seeing you all next time I get up there.
Cheers MIKE. <A.K.A. MICARUS>

HiPhil I'll try to find some pics of the Storch but it,s onle a Vemar kit and they are very easy as it is a.r.t.f and flies pretty good , I will have to look for the photos as I cleared my computer out a while ago and put them all on disc. I hope to get up this summer when I get the new T copter flying so may bring the Storch along as well or the Extra which is a Fliton 260.
Cheers MIKE.
