PostSubject: Ready for flight   Ready for flight EmptySat Aug 27, 2011 6:27 pm

Latest addition to the fleet is the P51d Mustang for my son dean, he's a keen flyer and he has bugged me for weeks to help him build a plane as he only flys the corsair and the flying wings.
I used the debden eagles colour scheme from the 334th USAAF FS.
Its 34 inch wingspan
1000mah lipo
8x3.8 prop
1450kv motor
runs at 165 watts pulling max 16 amps so it should have a bit of punch in the not so light winds.
AUW comes in at 14.2 ozs
I'll do the initial setup and maiden the rest is up to dean.

Maidened today, 2 clicks of elevator trim and it flew beautifull, very pleased with the performance and it has enough kick to get around the field with no problems.
