Subject: DIY Hotwire table Mon Sep 26, 2011 4:04 am
Jeff this is the table setup I came up with for cutting out the planes its very basic to build and uses a 10V 1.2 amp supply for constant heat. I've added the ability to use a fence for straight cuts or running off small strips, The beauty of this setup is all cuts are 90 degrees which is a must in any build. I'm working on a simple addon to do the 45 degree cuts for the ailerons and I'm done. This is a short video of it in action.

Get the power supply jeff and I'll help you out m8, nothing to it really, you must have an old virgin modem power supply kicking around the house from when they did the upgrades?

Jeff the details are in the first post I dont use variable heat as I dont need it for this setup its a basic unit for cutting depron planes, If I want to cut wings I'll set the bigger cutter up that does have variable heat control.
This is the same as the one on ebay, thats not variable either.
