| It might seem so Jeff but the centre point is where the board sits so it's balanced perfect really, Optical illusion on the frame m8. I need some wind free space to dial it all in now and finish a few cosmetic tweaks. | |

| Build is still going strong and I've added a couple of lights to the rear arms to increase the view from the rear. I still have to make up a lead to move the rx but other than PID tuning its good to go.

| A quick test of new PID settings in acro mode (no autolevel used) to see how it handles.

| Soooo after all the begging texts and emails I caved in and decided to go help Keith tune his quad properly , after informing him that he had 2 props on backwards and one of his motors was upside down we got down to the nitty gritty of PID tuning , after 3 hours of heated debate ( if youve ever been in the lab with me and Keith you know exactly what that means ) I finally convinced Keith that the Roll settings were nothing to do with carrying a sandwhich as payload and the pitch settings were nothing to do with the offside rule , very strange atitude towards flight settings...... Well after much debate and a quick wrestle followed by throwing hammers at each other I finally got the quad flying relatively stable, still a lot more work to do but I helped Keith as much as I could without doing EVERYTHING for him. It must be nice having a friend with soo much knowledge and experience available to help............. Its all about mmeeeeeee its all about meee babeeeeeeeeee | |

| Scouse you git, its the last time I will tell you how I tune my quads to the high standard you seen last night in the shop, having just come off the phone to you tonight (1200kv talk) I read this feeble attempt at a stitch up lol. Jeff this story is much longer than you realise m8 I'll explain it when scouse gets his quad flyable lmao.
Good read though..........cheese and pickle rules.

| Update........... Finally got around to setting up the ACC today and I've tested out a new method to get it as stable as I could under controlled conditions and its worked better than I could have hoped for, hands free hover in a 6x6 feet space and it never moved more than 12 inches, I'll run the same tests again tomorrow and hopefully catch it on video. I still have more work to do on the final PID settings but that can wait for the bluetooth unit to arrive so I can set them on the fly with my android phone.
Jeff/Members FYI I'm doing far more work here than you really need to do to get a good quad, I dont want a good quad I want a super stable one for Camera work. I dont want to put anyone off here I'm just tweaking and running different settings for my setup.

| I've added a bluetooth device to the quad so that I can adjust the pid settings from my android phone, this allows me to tweak the settings without having to carry a laptop or netbook with me when i fly. I've just finished running a few tests on the unit and I'm very pleased with the result............This is by far so much easier to use and setup on the fly so to speak. Below are a couple of screenshots of the app with my settings as they are now. The app even does the screenshots And heres the unit itself fitted to the quad, its just to the right of the Phone and plugs into the ftdi connector socket. | |

| For now I'd call this project complete.......... If your looking to use this frame the cg comes out bang in the centre of the control board mounting area.
Thanks for looking | |

| When I said complete...
Ran a few tests tonight with the quad, Initial setup was in acro mode on the Dx6i (plane mode) I switched the setup to Heli mode tonight and flew it with a smoother throttle curve set, the difference is like night and day for control. Throttle use on any quad is limited to say the least and you really need to balance the throttle to maintain a steady hover, I set my curve to give a shorter throw around midstick with a 10% difference between 3 and 4 points, this gives me much better throttle control around the mid stick range with power to spare when its needed. I'll stick with this mode from now on as its easier to setup and gives better control.

| Be careful as it also compresses the throttle above and or below those points so increases/decreases in speed are a little faster. | |

| Might seem so scouse but it's far better to fly and easier to maintain altitude with the settings I have now. | |

| Adjust the motor so it's pointing down bud that will sort it out . Try level first though then adjust from there
