My cousin Geoff bought his stryker from jeff here last week and we have been out a few times this week after work for a fly down the gare area. On one of the flights Scouse joined us and a good time was had by all, My son dean was thrown into the mire with scouse giving dean his controller and throwing his stryker into the air shouting fly it and dean had no choice but to fly.
The stryker scouse has is built lightweight and it shows in the way it floats, my mission was set by dean, Build a stryker or as close as i could get in performance and with this build I think I've got very close.
No plans just me and a few sheets of depron, armed with a ruler and pencil and in 2 nights this is my effort.
Its auw comes in at 16ozs with 2200mah onboard
Wingspan is 39inch ( full depron sheet width)
2x 9gram servos
1500kv motor running 7*6 prop giving 250watts of power
I incorporated a kfm step into the wing to get the float into the build and it could not have worked out better.
Maidened tonight, it was the perfect maiden with no faults in the design at all.
More pics to follow as these are during the build.
