| Bought one 2nd hand unflown-but bare bones. Now fitted out with a new motor box with a 5055/06/580 low Kv motor to run 5000/30C 6S, Hobbywing Platinum 80A ESC. 4 dirty great Hi-tec metal gear servos that should keep it pointing in the right direction. Just left it Pauls for him to wire it all up for me (my soldering skills are legendary for their resmblance to a Jackson Pollack) install a 7.5A BEC with a 1Ah 3 cell li-po & Spektrum 5ch rx. Paul has forwarded a motor calc (Castle Creations) via e-mail to me & from it worked out a 12x6 prop should be a good starting point (I've also ordered a 13x6 which I should get the next couple of days) It should have bags of power-but with an all up weight of just under 7lbs (guesstimate) it'll need it! (bit of a fatty ) I'm hoping for a figure of about 150W/lb with about 6-7min average flight. Maiden coming soon! | |

| Been on this most of today poor quality pic, just to give an idea of the model also a datalog from a quick spin up ....... too much vibration atm ,although the prop. is balanced so not Full rpm. Ade you may need a proper prop. adaptor and I will need to reverse the motor shaft Power will not be an issue with this model (Yes. thats 1200Watts so far ) | |

| Motor box made for me by the man I bought it off, he's a master builder this box is better made than the rest of the plane! Pauls run into a slight technical hitch with the motor-its too bloody powerfull! Half throttle is 1200W/50A. Going to try it on 4 cells & see if we can get the power down to something like sensible, if that doesnt work will have to try & get a lower Kv motor (about 400) for it. | |

| Borrowed some 4 S 2200mah packs from Mike W. Prop. is a 12 x6" running around 540W now A 13x6,13x7 or 14x6" should get me to around the power levels needed on 4S. [img] [/img] | |
