well im having ago at making a lawn dart

well iv been to brc today to get my bits n bobs for my project.
i have spent hours looking for my first build.i was going to build a b17 but i came to my senses lol.
so Keith&Pete i my well be asking on some tips.

Looks good pete let us know how the maiden goes buddy, Its always a buzz to build your own plane and maiden it with a good flight. Jeeez this weather is keeping most of us indoors so theres not really much else to do other than build a plane or 2 or 3

Have you decided on a build yet jeff? I have a few ideas for you if your still undecided.

looks good Pete.the picture will not enlarge so can not really have a good look at it.

When you upload a picture pete you get three lines of code, use the middle one to post a bigger picture.

well my build is coming along very nicely.the airframe is nearly done.will show you wot it is later today.

was very impressed with Pete's x31 and my have ago myself.

well here is my creation.its a p51 mustang.went together ok.will need to stiffen up the wings.
has no rudder but i can do this later.glide seems nice and level with the elevators pointing down alittle as it pitches up if i don't.so wings are creating lift.

it looks good just hurry up & get it finished

I'll have to post a pic later of the plane I've done for my son dean, its a smaller version of the parkmaster the build guide for it can be found here

As you can see it has a profile wing so should handle really well, just need the wind to go and i can fly the thing and find out.

It would be a good build for one of you I'm sure.

looks good keith,but i think i need to get this one under my belt.wot paint can you use on depron.

Use acrylic paint jeff, if you want your plane to last a little longer go with the packing tape from staples its available in many colours and makes your depron planes much much stronger.

baby version of my parkmaster keith,get the right set-up & its a good 3der.

It should be finished by the end of the day pete and I'llpost a few pictures here, It looks better with the airfoil wing design and should handle very well.

If this wind moves on i should be able to test it this weekend.

just a quick update on the mustang.
the carbon rods are in the wings and elevator are linked together ailerons are now working so is the elevator.
servos just need gluing

well iv put a lick of paint on it and its on with the build.looking good i think hope it flys lol.

What paint did you use jeff ? i like the silver look

here you go Keith.i got it from Stockton models £3.50 sticks to depron really well.you can scratch it with your nails and it don't come off.
