Cut the covering off round the wound then pulled all the balsa would back up carefully with the knife and glued it back together. Then used filler to make it smooth and sanded it. Dad just covered it with solar film and you can barely notice it Very Happy

Lol the leading edge has some dense balsa wood running all the way along, it's really strong. Compared to my new "light edge" from hobbyking its like a flying brick Laughing

Yes that's the new HK one and it's really light, only running on a 3s 2200. My big one has 6s 5000mAh powering it and still flies for twice as long Rolling Eyes

Big one flies for longer, 8 minutes of crazy aerobatics and probably 20 minutes of gentle flying

Must have something to do with the wing size sam I do know the correct term but for now its hiding under the sofa, perhaps paul will jump in on this one as the phrase has completely gone.

The smaller one has less wing loading so potentially could fly longer with a bigger battery but I went for 3D so kept it light
