hear is some pics. already started gluing the tail booms on.think they will need some reinforcement though.

well the airframe is all glued up, looks good imo.
retracts seem firm with no slop in them.

That's a nice plane Jeff, what flighttime do you expect from it ?

not sure Keith, its got a 70mm edf in it and im going to run it on a 3300 4s 30c.
it has been reviewed as a very floaty plane so hopefully that will mean 10 mins of mixed flying.
the maiden will give me a idea. hopefully that will be tomorrow.

I'm sure daz will do a very good job on the paintwork Jeff, looks like one I had years ago and that just hung in the air. Post when your gonna maiden and I'll video it for you.

well its all done but i run the edf last night at 1/4 power and it sounded well rough so going to give it a go out side and see how it goes.

Get it in the air Jeff, if it sounds rough perhaps the edf needs to be balanced,scouse is your man for that advice.

Yeah m8 just shout , ive got a few fans here you can play with. Like the vamp just dont want 70mm , 50mm would have been much better , if you want floaty keep it light

run it up today and just under 1/2 power it gets alarmingly rough.
the alloy spinner thing goes into what looks like two spinners.
after that throttle setting it smooths out and is fine.

if it flys the edf and motor are going any way for the new setup.

LOts of HK edf's do that , theyre simply not balanced so your losing a bit of power in noise and heat. If its the same fan they usually use in there 70mm stuff using a tuned one is night and day Jeff you will notice the power difference immediately , the consolation is that usually the motors are pretty good.

ill agree with that the props i bought from hk was verey bad

Hmmm looks nice , the edf sounds rough though.

Shame about the retracts Jeff what was the fault caused by ?

nose gear wood not lock down. but i did a temp fix.

well here is its maiden this time by Sam. as some one had to film it lol.
not much to say apart from bloody well worth the money for under £70.
the video says it all really.

try a very basic "tune up" first

Power off

Mark the shroud and fan at the 12 oclock position

Hold the motor bell if poss and turn the fan blades a bit so that the motor is still at 12 but the fans position has moved to 1 oclock ( make sense ? )

spoll up the fan.

Repeat until you find a reasonable vibration free spot.

When youve finished being a cheapskate borrow my eflite delta v and see if you like it

think thats the setup on my habu.mm wonder if that would go in.

I think it just sounds like a cheep EDF to be honest with you sorry but the 6-7 blades sound much better

still flys good and looks good and for the price what do you whant
