| The challenge to myself is what could i build in a 24hour period that would look cool and fly well, a little chat with scouse pointed me to the mig 3 its aet controlled so a little easier to build. The original plan was for a 30 inch plane with 1700kv bluwonder motor and 10 amp esc and 2-9 gram servos on a 2 cell 900mah pack. I opted to scale up to 38inch with 1600kv motor 20 amp esc with 2-9 gram servos I'm quite pleased with the outcome, this is the plane with only the canopy painted, thanks for the info on this one m8 and the issue with the dodgy rudder ( must use flat depron in future lol) | |

| Its looking like 10 mph winds constant, gusting to 15 according to my wind speed indicator. Thanks Paul its a quick build as I had plans this weekend(no pun intended) but the weather yesterday put a halt to that so I found myself at a loose end for once and after a chat with scouse decided to knock this plane up. This plane is designed around a format layout that covers many other planes its a clever idea, look here for the others. Undecided on the next one from the list, opinions welcome.. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1012551 | |

| I have one here paul it was a glow fuel setup, it needs a conversion and a little tlc as the front cowl is missing, i reckon its around the 40 inch mark, if you fancy a go at it your welcome to take it away as I'll never do it (balsa ) and its looking for a new home. | |

| Come get em then jeff, I'm tempted to go fly as the wind has dropped right off, the spitfire has always been up for grabs its a shame to see it binned when someone out there could use it.
any takers? | |

| I did the maiden jeff and due to the wind it was a little on the heart racing side, I added a little up elevator as i always do and gave it a little throttle and away it went, almost vertical due to the wind pushing it back. I managed a couple of circuits of the field franticly trying to get rid of the trim i put in lol, I landed the plane and removed the trim and threw it up again, once it turned with the wind behind it a gave a little more throttle and it was like a bombing run. Great fun to fly and it certainly keeps you on your toes, not for the beginner pilot jeff but a blast to fly anyway.
I'll give ya ago when we next meet up down the club | |

| This is how the plane is shaping up with the new colour scheme, I dont do white planes there boring lol. This is still along way from being finished and running out of mask did not really help, Yes its blue and I know blue planes and blue skies but C'mon when did we last see a blue sky? step one step two basecoat step three and lots of masking gives you the first colour More to follow.......................... | |

| The spitfire build is much easier than the mig paul I reckon it will be flying in a few hours lol.
Its a nice looking plane to boot.
The spitfire could be built in around 6 hours and thats if you really take your time.
